Thorough Bed Bug Control Plans
Combat Bed Bugs With Our Fully Prepared Troops
In the past few years, New Jersey, New York, and the rest of the nation has learned a lot about bed bug infestations. Here at Priority1 Termite & Pest Control, we've learned a lot ourselves and have become experienced in using the latest technologies to deal with these blood-sucking pests.
Bed bug removal is a labor-intensive job, so we come fully prepared for combat.
- We thoroughly inspect your property, concentrating on the bedroom area.
- We chemically treat cracks and crevices, along bed frames, the edges of carpets, etc.
- We use a combination of residual, non-residual, and birth control chemicals.
Ask about our excellent rates, which include a reasonable return visit charge, as well as our guaranteed packages that include a follow-up visit when it's necessary.
Take Steps to Fight Bed Bugs in Your Property
Vacuum - Although vacuuming alone will not rid your property of bed bugs, it is an important part of control.
- Use a crevice attachment on mattress seams, box springs, bed legs, within furniture, behind pictures, on curtains, baseboards, and anywhere else bugs might hide.
- Carpets should be vacuumed with a powerhead, if possible.
- Vacuum filters should immediately be removed and either discarded or burned.
Steam - Steam cleaning can be minimally effective when used at close quarters on mattresses and upholstery. It is less useful on carpets since the pests will not be in the middle of the floor.
Prepare for Our Visit and Get Better Results
If your property is not properly prepared for bed bug treatments, the chances of successful control are not high. If you can't prepare on your own, get help from family members, friends, or charitable groups.
Furniture - All furniture and appliances should be moved away from walls. Bookshelves and drawers should be emptied and left open.
Laundry - Wash and dry everything you can before we arrive and seal it in plastic bags. Use hot water even if it is not recommended. If you can't wash everything, then at least run it through the dryer at medium or high heat for 20 minutes or more.
How to Manage Your Bedding After Our Treatments
After our bed bug treatment, you should dispose of bedding materials and buy new ones if feasible. Be sure to slash the items or mark them as infested so no one else picks them up and tries to use them.
New items should not be brought into your rooms until after the bed bug infestation has been completely eliminated.
If you can't afford to replace mattresses, bed sheets, and other items, place treated mattresses and box springs inside plastic bags or high-quality cotton mattress bags, which seal any remaining bugs inside. These bags can provide permanent protection.
